Filming / Locations

This superb purpose built conference and exhibition venue offers the largest and most flexible facilities in the M4 corridor. The Grandstand has 3 floors that offer large flexible spaces, making it one of the best venues in Berkshire. Highlights include:

• Full grey out on the Ground and 2nd floors
• 8 x 42” plasma screens on the 2nd Floor 
• Separate catering areas
• Access for cars and vans on the ground floor
• 3 phase power on all floors

Ground Floor
The spacious, modern ground floor is pillar free and has over 1,000m² of floor space and a ceiling height of over 5 metres. The area is ideal for set builds allowing you to transform the area to work with any brief with large loading doors for vehicle access into the Grandstand.

First Floor
The 1st floor is glass sided on three sides and has stunning views across the racecourse. It is ideal for use as the catering area for the Ground or 2nd Floor. The area can also be directly accessed from the car park in front of the Grandstand.

Second Floor
The 2nd floor of the Grandstand is the main conference area, it has full greyout, 3 phase power and is pillar free, it is suitable as a conference space or can be set up as a restaurant.

Ground Floor
The Concourse area occupying 500m2 has access for cars and can be used as a venue for small exhibitions or set builds.

First Floor
Here you will find the Carnarvon Room and the adjacent Long Room which has over 600m2 of floor space.

Meeting Rooms on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors
Over 40 hospitality boxes are located on the 2nd to 5th floors and can be used as either single rooms or opened up as larger areas.

First Floor – Lambourn Suite
The Lambourn Suite has stunning views across the racecourse with a large grassed area outside which is easily accessible via steps from the 1st floor. This area is often used in the summer for BBQ style lunch parties.


Second Floor – Hennessy Suite
On racedays, this restaurant is known as one of the finest on any racecourse in the country with a comfortable and modern atmosphere and superb views. On non-race days the Hennessy Suite can be transformed into a superb conference room which offers:

- Blinds giving a full white out
- Plasma screens
- 63 amp power
- Wi-fi
- Full air conditioning

The two rooms are easily adaptable and have superb views across the racecourse.
The Royal Box at Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire is one of the most exclusive in the South of England. The facilities include:

• Two separate areas
• Stunning views across the racecourse
• Private entrance and reception area
• Plasma screens with video playback
• Its own kitchen to allow for exclusive catering

With 360 acres you’ll find the perfect backdrop including hard standing and grassed areas with picnic areas and furniture available.

This 18 hole golf course is made up of 12 holes within the centre of the racetrack, offering links type golf with some additional water features. The last 6 holes are Parkland in character. The par 71 course is 6,552 yards in length and is surprisingly challenging thanks to its water features and bunker positions. The land is gently undulating and the make up of the subsoil and the excellent drainage allows the course to be playable throughout the year.

Newbury Racecourse also features Practice Range and Green with bunkers for sand play and chipping, a Practice Putting Green and a 20-bay Floodlit Driving Range including two heated bays.

All areas at Newbury including the racecourse, jockey’s areas, stables, parade ring and weighing rooms are available for filming projects. However, filming on the track is off limits on race days.
